In Memorium: Paul Oliver, founding editor of the Encyclopedia of Vernacular Architecture of the World

Architecture historian and music historian Paul Oliver, founding editor of the Encyclopedia of Vernacular Architecture of the World, passed away on August 14, 2017 at the age of 90. 

The New York Times printed a well researched obituary with the first half focusing on his research on American blues music, and the latter part dedicated to  his contributions to vernacular architecture studies.
